High Tech Gadgets Help Moderate Intake of food

Slimming down could be a real challenge, however there is hi-tech help open to help moderate the quantity of food Lishou eaten.
The Mandometer is a device that weighs the food you put onto a plate. It then tells you just how much to consume, and over the length of time. If you eat too quickly, you get an electronic warning advising you need to decelerate.
Dan Correa has used it to help him lose 30 pounds, but admits "I've asked it to shut up a few times."
Research has shown that eating too fast can cause putting on weight.
Joan Salge Blake, a professor of nutrition said, "It is going to take Twenty minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that you are full, and if you are eating so rapidly, you can over eat and consume more calories than you really need to be satisfied."
Another hi-tech option is the Bite Counter. It literally counts each time a bite is taken. The computerallows the consumer to set the count, and read the outcomes on a wrist device.
Psychologist Eric Muth developed this product after struggling with his weight. If an individual eats greater than a pre-programmed quantity of bites, an alarm goes off.
"We demonstrated that should you tracked the bites, you can indeed slow a person's eating, and that did indeed reduce intake," added Muth.
That's also the theory behind the "Hapi-Fork". This electronic utensil vibrates and flashes a sore point when the eater takes bites less than 10-seconds apart. A mobile app keeps track.
Salge Blake believes these devices might be helpful, but put too much focus on quantity, and never on quality. "It is excellent that you have a slower pace, but we do not would like you slowly eating a pint of ice cream either. So it's what's on the plate that's important. That's where the nutrition component comes in."
There's still value in some old school methods of moderating food consumption. Research has shown using smaller plates results in smaller portions because the plate looks full with less food.
Serving dinner family style is really a no-no. Salge Magic Slim Blake said, "Create a plate, take it towards the table to consume it, and that is done." No second helpings allowed.
Another proven strategy is to help keep an in depth food log of all things that's consumed. Salge Blake said that constitutes a person really think before eating something.
